Weekend Get-away to Desaru - Mar. 2 - 4

The weekend of March 2 - 4 was a staff get-away to Desaru on the south east coast of Malaysia. Our resort overlooked the South China Sea, and the sandy beaches were practically empty. What a place to relax!
Where is everyone?
The Pulai Resort and pool.
The monkeys enjoyed cleaning up the left-over food and drinks.
One afternoon, we went on a river cruise.
Past fish farms, 
and mangroves,
and monkeys having a seafood feast along the shores.
After the cruise, we enjoy fresh coconuts.
Saturday evening BBQ around the pool!
Later that night, we were fascinated watching the hermit crabs scrambling across the beach.
All too soon, it was time to catch the half hour ferry ride back to Singapore. 
The end to another incredible weekend in Asia!

Hey Mr. & Mrs. Gingrich!
I'm not sure if you'll remember me considering you guys are having such a blast in Singapore...but Mr. Gingrich, I was in your 4th grade class back at North Ridge. And you always told me to ‘think before you speak’... yep, it is I, Inderpal Mahil. Just thought I'd drop you a line and say hello! I'm doing some work experience at North Ridge and found out from Mr. Caldwell that you were in Singapore. I hope the both of you are well and having a great time down there. Hope to see you again in the future!
